Meet the team
Tommi Blom, Owner, Chief Executive Officer - CEO
Tommi is one of the owners of Maxisat. He has been working in the IPTV and online video domain since 2001 and has an intimate knowledge of the Service Provider market by having successfully started up two separate service provider businesses in Finland, including MAXIVISION, the MAXISAT consumer brand. Tommi has an MBA degree from HSEBA (Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration) and is a leader in the TV industry in the Nordics. Beyond combining a strong knowledge on the requirements of running a successful TV business, he works with the commercial realities associated.
Andrew Brown, Chief Operating Officer - COO
Andrew joined the MAXISAT management team in October 2013. He brings a wealth of international management experience having held Vice President level positions with Alcatel-Lucent and Motorola (now ARRIS) in their respective video divisions. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Andrew is currently based in Antwerp, Belgium. He has an Honours degree in Business and a Masters in Telecommunications and Marketing both from Monash University.
Jari-Pekka Hela-Aro, Chief Technology Officer - CTO
Jari-Pekka, or JP as he is mostly known, is our master mind on video technology. JP has been planning and developing IP based video head ends and delivery systems since 2001. He has the quintessential CTO profile having the ability to combine technical requirements with customer reality. His experience running a successful hosted and managed TV platform and expertise developing and refining hardware and software platforms are an ideal complement to the management team.
Kristoffer Lindqvist, Technical Director
Kris runs the software development by driving both architecture and execution in a very hands-on capacity together with his teams to ensure that business needs are continually met with robust and evolvable solutions. He was bit by the software bug in his early teens and even a degree in East Asia Studies (Helsinki University) was not able to stop him from following his heart.
